November Event - FUNdraiser

The November GJWHF event has been scheduled! We are going to have a Pampered Chef fundraiser as we did last November. This year, the funds will go toward the Salvation Army Angel Tree. GJWHF will adopt as many less fortunate children as possible to give them a little brighter Christmas.

If you're not sure what the Angel Tree is, Salvation Army collects Christmas lists from families that qualify and once approved become party of the Angel Tree. People can then go and "adopt" children and provide items on that child's list so the child is able to essentially HAVE a Christmas. There are always many children in need and more when the economy is bad.

So, on with the party details....Wednesday, November 18 at 6:00 PM in the Purdue Room at University Park Apartments Clubhouse (across from PNC where the scrapbooking party was). You may request a catalog ahead of time or place orders online if you can't or don't want to attend the party on Wednesday. Further details with a link to our party will follow.

And...THE ITEMS WILL BE IN BY THANKSGIVING! So, if you need to items to use in cooking for Thanksgiving or want to get a jump on your Black Friday shopping, here is your chance!

Mark your calendars! Saturday, September 26 is the next GJWHF event! We will be testing our mini golf skills and then doing a little dining afterwards! Details will follow very shortly! Thanks to Carol W. for getting this organized for us!

April Event - PNCWA Luncheon - April 18!

Sign up for the PNCWA Spring Luncheon. This is the one you want to sign up for, its being presented by the group that has been bringing you fun since last September!...Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!!

The event will feature Mary Ellen Rinaldi, a comedienne.

Create-A-Memory March 14, 2009

A great time was had by all who attended the Create-a-Memory scrapbooking day! We met at the Purdue Room at University Village in Westville. Kelly was our fearless leader and Close to My Heart consultant who taught some of us that scrapbooking isn't a hard, time consuming, daunting task!....its FUN!!!!...the others already knew. ; ) Thanks Kelly!

Finally. the pictures from Blue Man Group! Seventeen of us went to Briar Street Theatre and thoroughly enjoyed Blue Man Group! The stretch hummer was very cool and the show was awesome!

Create a Memory!

Saturday, March 14, GJWHF will partner with Kelly Mittelmeier, a Close to My Heart consultant, to create a two-page scrapbook layout. The event will be held at University Village Purdue Room in Westville and will begin at 1:30 PM. Cost is $10 and that will include all supplies for the two-page layout.
